Would you risk your life for love?

Rose Clyde lost her girlfriend six months ago in a tragic accident. Since then, she simply goes through the motions, knowing she might be doomed to spend the rest of her life grieving. But when her best friend calls with a strange job offer—working the front desk of an old hotel up the Maine coastline—it’s an offer Rose can’t refuse. And a chance to restart her life.

But Rose isn’t prepared for Kane Sullivan, her new boss. This enigmatic, captivating woman, from their very first meeting, has Rose spellbound. There’s something about Kane that seems so familiar…why does Rose feel as if she’s seen this lovely, powerful woman before?

As the strange old Sullivan Hotel begins to reveal its dark secrets, Rose’s life hangs in the balance. But an even greater danger looms

She’s falling in love with a vampire.

“Meeting Eternity” is the first volume in the Sullivan Vampires series. The Sullivan Vampires is a beautiful, romantic epic that follows the clan of Sullivan vampires and the women who love them. Advance praise has hailed this hallmark series as “Twilight for women who love women” and “a lesbian romance that takes vampires seriously! Two thumbs up!”

PLEASE NOTE Each Sullivan Vampire book, until the very last one, ends on a cliffhanger. This is to add suspense to the story, but it's not every reader's cup of tea. If you dislike cliffhangers, please wait until all three books are released before purchasing--thank you!

This was the second book I read by Ms. Essex and it has become my favorite series. At the suggestion of her best friend, Gwen, Rose Clyde moves to Maine for a job at the Sullivan Hotel. Rose's life is in shambles. Her long time girlfiend was killed in an accident and Rose is only going through the motions. Not really living. So she moves to Maine and meets Kane Sullivan. Kane the beautiful owner of the Sullivan Hotel and leader of the other Sullivan women living in the hotel. Rose is drawn to Kane immediately and it seems that Kane is drawn to her as well. However, Kane and the other Sullivan's have a secret that Rose soon learns when she is attacked by Mags. They are vampires! But this fact doesn't stop Rose from yearning for Kane. Especially when Kane is the one that saves her from Mags. This is the first book of the series and the next set is Trusting Eternity. I am in love with this series and can't recommend it enough.

Meeting Eternity The Sullivan Vampires Book 1 edition by Bridget Essex Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Started out slow,,did not give much information on the back ground of Rose and how she and Anna meet.,Then leaves you hanging on for the next book.

ne leave melody in charge? what power. does she have over her?
Book was good, writing good, plot good, book ending left on cliffhanger not good. Maybe it's naive of me to think book one in a series means a actually completed book! not the first chapters of a continuing book. I mean am I wrong to think that? please let me know I'm paying for chapters of a ongoing book! So from now on anything that says book one Should I not buy it? I'm expecting a complete book! If you're writing a series about the same person it still should have a ending not a cliff hanger. If I wanted a cliff hanger I'd go watch the soaps. I know at least with them that that's how they will end it! Gill McKnight wrote the Garoul series, Melissa Good wrote the Dar & Kerry Series. and guess what? each book was completed! I didn't mind paying for them cause I actually got a complete book! Not the chapters that should make up one book! I'm just saying. I feel like I wasted my money.
Wow, what an amazing series! And again, Bridget has delivered a masterpiece. The beginning is very sad and I felt so sorry for Rose. Thanks to her best friend Gwen there is hope for Rose. Hope that she can let go of her lonely and painful existence. She moves and the hotel is magical and situated in a beautiful area. There everything happens and nothing seems to be what it is. Will they be torn apart forever? The characters pull you immediately but especially Kane. I fell hard for her and she is my gorgeous hero. But Mags, I hate that woman. Why is she acting like a bitch? The storyline is very well crafted. It's exciting from the start and nothing I can think of that I did not loved. I look forward to the sequel.
Loved it!
I initially wanted the first sentence of this review to be, “What complete and utter rot!.” However, I cannot honestly call it rot without admitting to enjoying some of this book. If there is one thing I’ve enjoyed absolutely about this book, it is the almost overly romanticized way that the author wrote the extremely strong magnetism between the main leads Rose and Kane. Essex has a very good descriptive capability. It’s almost too good at times, because she in turn makes anything else outside of the dynamic between Rose and Kane pale in comparison.

I liked the vampire element, otherwise, the book is pretty weak. Certain things made absolutely no sense at all. First, what was the point in bringing back Melody? Her disappearance, then reappearance all of a sudden when Kane had just about moved on with Rose? It’s as if the author had a great idea with the Sullivan vampires, but then she couldn’t really pull it off properly.

There were two grammatical errors, using “We” instead of “She,” missing a “The” here and there. The last error that really annoyed me, and showed that the author was just not paying attention to details was the clothing error. Rose was described as wearing jeans in the scene when she goes out with her friend Gwen. In the scene with Bran, after Bran tells Rose the origins story, Rose is wearing “skirts”? WTF? There was no wardrobe change mentioned from Rose walking from one room to another! It may seem like a small insignificant detail to other readers, but to a reader that CONSTANTLY notices details, it’s a sign of laziness on the author’s part.

Last but not least, charging readers$ 8.00 for 156 pages of book is a complete rip off! Especially when other books this author has written have over 200 pages or more and are also listed at $8.00. What’s worse? You have to spend ANOTHER $8.00 to read the conclusion of this train wreck if you want to know the ending! Yes, TRAIN WRECK! Because you know you should look away, but you can’t.
I had just finished reading "Ice" by Bridget Essex when I decided to pick this book up. After such high praise, I figured it was well worth the shot. I have to say in all honesty that I much preferred "Ice" to this book. For me, the characters seemed a little one dimensional, even despite the heavy description of their outward appearance. There were quite a few spelling and grammatical errors that I noticed, which usually isn't such a big deal as long as they don't exceed a certain level. By mid-point of the third novella (this is a collection of the first three novellas in the series), I was ready to put the book down and move on. I was left with the feeling that the entire book was based around several much smaller short stories because there were moments in the book of such vivid detail, and excellent storytelling, and then other sections where it was just lacking. I suppose I had just expected something better from this author whom I had just discovered.
