A true masterpiece that goes directly to the soul of leadership. Leadership is defined in so many ways, but this book puts leadership in perspective by providing a clear and concise review of those characteristics necessary to lead in very difficult times. As a leader, and trainer of leaders, for over 30 years, I find this book to be right on target because not only does it identify the competencies needed to be a strong leader, but can be a powerful training tool to help people excel at what they do. I realize there are no silver bullets in identifying great leadership characteristics, but this book comes as close as any you will find. I will require all my students and seminar participants to get this book. That is how strongly I feel about the content and potential for helping others be better leaders.
